Heels clicking sound was echoing in Cobra base , the figure reached a room guarded by Two Crimson guards , and four B.A.T’s , not to mention the couple of Cobra grunts walking around near the door

She stand by the door , and the Crimson guard salute her , she place her hand on the scanner and the door open and she enter

Inside the room two heads turn to her , one metallic and one with a monocle

“Destro darling , why all the men outside and security”

“Baroness , Dr Mindbender here claim to have perfected teleportation , and we are trying to try it before Cobra Commander find out and use it for a fruitless scheme “

Dr Mindbender adjusted his monocle
“We don’t need that buffon around”

then a shout interrupt them , that screeching sound
“Who are you calling a buffon !”

Dr Mindbender jumped
“No one Cobra Commander , No one”

Cobra Commander walk around the machine Destro and Dr Mindbender were inspecting

“So this is a Teleportation machine ?, fascinating , finally i can use one of my old plans”

Destro smile
“Why don’t you try it first Cobra Commander?”

Cobra Commander walk behind Destro
“Destro , Destro , i’m Cobra Commander , i don’t try things , go inside to try it “

Destro waved his hands around
“But Cobra Commander i need to operate the teleporter with Dr Mindbender “

Cobra Commander then pointed at Baroness
“Then you jump in the chambers”

Before the Baroness and Destro could argue
“Do you mean to tell me that it wasn’t safe and wanted to kill me in it ?, now go inside Baroness”

Baroness went inside the Chamber
Dr Mindbender and Destro , took their places at the consoles

They start the machine and it hums

Destro
“Machine at 10% power , increasing to 20%”

to which Cobra Commander said
“Come on “

Destro
“Machine at 20% power , increasing to 30%”

Cobra Commander Tabbed his feet

“Machine at 30% power , increasing to 40%”

Cobra Commander Tabbed his feet

“Machine at 40% power , increasing to 50%”

Cobra Commander jumped to the console Destro was standing at

“Lets finish this already”  and dial the power all the way

Destro shouted at him
“You fool what have you done”

Cobra Commander raised his finger at him
“don’t you call me a fool”

“The power is too much , it can’t handle it , it will blow”
Dr Mindbender shouted as he stepped back from the console , and turn his back and started running toward the door

Cobra Commander dashed behind him toward the door

The Baroness was shouting , he couldn’t hear what she said , but Destro tried to open the chamber door , the console blow up and thrown him across the room toward the door , where two Crimson guards dragged him toward the exit

Dr Mindbender and Cobra commander saw the two Crimson guards dragging Destro outside the base , then they saw a huge light and an implosion

and half the base was gone

Destro woke up from his shock

and looked at where the lab was

“ANA ! “

he tried to go toward the empty space

Cobra Commander was moving toward his plane when said
“Eh well , she is gone , a shame really , she provided a nice face in the base”

Destro turned toward Cobra Commander
“You done this ! , you are the reason i lost Ana “

Cobra Commander bring out a small keypad and press it , suddenly Destro is jolted and fall on the ground

Dr Mindbender look at Destro and then at Cobra Commander who tell him
“little shock would do wonders to claim bulls , and yes i can shock you if you try anything “

and he goes to his plane his guards close the doors after him , and it leave the base

Dr Mindbender looked at the slumped body of Destro , he pointed to two Cobra grunts and they carried him to another plane waiting


City outskirts

a white flash appear next to a large Sign , when the flash fad The Baroness stands she dust herself and look around

“ Well this isn’t the Base anymore , Cobra Commander nearly got me killed “

she bring out a communicator
“hmm it can’t locate any Cobra Signal , not even Cobra-2 or Cobra-3 satellite , that is strange”

she notice a newspaper floating around , she place her foot on it and then pick it up

“What is this ? mask vigilantes ? very interesting , maybe i should check these vigilantes , good thing i packed a bit of Eau de Cobra with me , i can’t wait to meet them “

and start walking toward the city , trying to catch any car going toward it
